Getting your carpeting cleaned regularly ensures that your home, or business, is clean and can prevent dirt, or dust, buildup. There are a few simple tasks that you can take to prepare for professional carpeting cleaning to ensure the process is simple and efficient.

First, move any furniture that is in the way. Do not expect your service team to rearrange it for you, often it is not a service that provide due to potential liability. That being said, to get your full money’s worth, plus completely clean carpets, shift any movable furniture to a room that will not be cleaned or used during the appointment.

Secondly, be sure that you are home a minimum of thirty minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time. Often technicians will arrive early in order to provide prompt service, get their equipment set up, and get an idea of your home, or business, layout. This is a compliment to you, as they want to provide you the best service possible.

Third, put your pets away during the appointment. Sure they are very cute and you are proud of them but they tend to get in the way and, occasionally, have accidents due to the commotion. Nobody wants to dirty up freshly cleaned carpet! Fido would be happier in the yard anyways.

Fourth, think about any other areas that you may want serviced. Is your tile dingy and dirty? Now could be the perfect time to get all of your flooring sparkling clean. If you do have pets, would you like protectant added to prevent future staining? There are also spot treatments available for consumers to purchase and keep on hand for those big, nasty, inevitable, accidental stains happen. The point is it is better to have an idea of everything you want done when your technician arrives rather than thinking it through while they are working.

These four simple tips will have anyone prepared for their professional carpet cleaning appointment in no time at all, your home, or business, will smell lovely and leave a positive impact on all who visit. The entire process should be a relaxing process for you. Put on the TV, put your feet up, and relax while all of the hard work is done for you. The end result will be worth the short wait and will, with the right care, stay clean for quite awhile after the appointment.

The carpet in your home is probably the second costly expense behind that of buying a home. Keeping the carpeting clean is the best way to ensure that it lasts for many years. The problem many homeowners have is that they are not sure of how to clean the carpet correctly or what the benefits are to a clean carpet.

One of the reasons to hire a carpet cleaning Salt Lake City Utah specialist is they understand exactly how to treat the carpet. Each day allergens and contaminants are finding their way into the carpet by the ways of your shoes. These little particles fall off and then get ground into the carpet fibers with more foot traffic. Your home vacuum can not remove all these contaminants effectively, resulting in the carpet fibers wearing away over time.

Each time you walk on your carpet, those particles that are trapped in the fibers slowly wear the integrity of the carpet away like small pieces of rough sandpaper. Our carpet cleaning Salt Lake City Utah professionals have the equipment necessary for first loosening that debris, then vacuuming it up quickly and removing it from the home. The process of removing the debris completely is in the professional application of organic cleaning compounds that break up the allergens and contaminants, making it much easier for them to be removed from the carpeting.

If you would like to restore your carpeting to new like condition.

There is one simple reason why I get my carpet cleaned every 6-12 months, and that is to ensure that the home environment is as hygienic as it can be. Hard flooring is easy to clean with a mop, and an antibacterial cleaner. This is not the case when it comes to carpets. Due to the way that carpets are manufactured, the fibers will catch particles that normal vacuuming will not remove. This means that the carpet not only holds a large collection of dust and dirt, but also pollen. When these get airborne, they can cause problems, especially for those people who suffer from allergies.

There is a lot of research into why the number of people who have allergies is rapidly rising, especially in those who are under 20. Although not yet proven, it is more than likely to do with the fact that humans now live in a much cleaner environment than they ever have done. This means that as we a growing up from a baby to a teenager, we are no longer coming across the bacteria that can help our immune systems to develop as it should. This is why the medical world is now telling parents to allow their children to eat food that they have dropped on the floor, as the bugs they pick up are beneficial.
However, for those who already have an allergy, it needs to be controlled. If a reaction is triggered by dust or pollen, then having a carpet cleaned by a professional every six months, or so, will make sure that the problem is kept on top of. The cleaner the home environment is for a person who suffers from an allergy, the less frequent reactions will occur.

Getting Candle Wax And Stains Out Of Carpeting

I have been searching around for a while for different methods that will allow me to successfully pull the stain from candle wax out of my carpeting. We have a security deposit that we would like to be able to get back, so I have been willing to try just about anything that will not damage the carpeting further.

The more I looked I found that putting ice on the wax to get it as stiff as possible was the best way to pull off the bigger chunks that are sitting right on top of the fibers. This was the perfect way to get the majority of the pieces off. What was left were these little pieces. The next step surprised me as I was told to take a hair dryer and a rag or towel to melt the remainder. It actually worked!

You just take the rag or thin towel and place it over the area where the wax remnants are after you pull off the larger chunks. Heat the area with the blow dryer to melt the small wax bits and then press the towel or rag down. It transfers to the cloth and then I was able to proceed with cleaning the carpet as normal.

How Often Should You Get Your Carpet Professionally Cleaned?

LivingRoomWhite-300x213

First, I am going to assume that you have already done some research on this issue. While you are doing your research on the Internet, you have probably came across various answers. Some websites will tell you that you should do so every six months. Some may say every year. With so many different answers, who should you trust?

Well, I must say that there is no hard and fast rule to this question. So in essence, all the answers you have found so far are not wrong.

It really depends on the situation. First, I need to find out more about your situation. Are you talking about the carpet in your home. Or are you talking about the carpet in your office?

If you are talking about the carpet in your home, you should do so at least every 18 months. This should take place even if your carpet looks clean. Looks can be deceptive when it comes to the cleanliness of your carpet. There are many fine particles that you cannot see with your naked eyes. For the sake of health and hygiene, make sure you stick to the schedule.

Of course, if your carpet is already dirty before the end of 18 months, you can always call the carpet cleaners earlier.

If there is someone in your family who is suffering from respiratory problems such as asthma, I wouldn’t recommend carpet in your house in the first place. But if you do, you should make sure that your carpet is professionally cleaned at least once per year.

If you are talking about the carpet in your office where people are walking on it day in and day out, I recommend professional cleaning every half a year.

I hope that answers your question.

The Best Way To Remove Wax Drippings From Your Carpets And Rugs

Candles are all the rage these days, what with aromatherapy, romantic dinners,  and mood lighting, that’s probably the reason that candle wax drippings have been hitting carpets on a more regular basis. And, if that aromatherapy fixed your headache and made all your troubles go away, your headaches will come back twice as bad when you find out you’ve got wax spills on your carpet or rug.   Let’s take a look at an excellent way to get that wax out of your carpet and save your day.

Now, with most  spills onto a carpet, time is of the essence, and immediate action is necessary, run don’t walk, to get your towels and cleanup accessories on-site. However, with wax it’s the opposite, you want to make sure that the wax is dry and cool before  beginning any kind of cleanup operation. This is because, while the wax is hot and wet, it can be easily spread, and then more difficult to remove. So, chill out and relax.

Go your kitchen and get a butter knife, then a stiff piece of paper  and go to the wax spill.  Take your knife and begin scraping the wax in little pieces onto your paper, some a little pieces will fall deeper down in your carpet, so do your best to get as much of the paper as possible. Take care not to damage the carpet fibers during this process. When all the visible wax has been scraped off, throw what you have away, then vacuum the area thoroughly to get all the small pieces that fell down deeper.

Now, get out your iron and take a brown paper bag and opened it up flat, then begin to iron the carpet from on top of the bag, making sure it’s on the lowest setting and keep it moving constantly. The remaining wax will melt from the heat of the iron, and soak up into the brown paper from the bag.

And there you have it, the best way to remove candle wax drippings from your carpet, or area rug. If you run into difficulties, a good quality carpet cleaning company can come to your rescue if need be. Most carpet cleaning professionals will use some of the same techniques as you’ve read here, plus many carry cleaning chemicals that can melt the wax and then be extracted with their equipment so don’t hesitate to give them a call.  Carpet Cleaners like Sani-Bright in Indianapolis are cleaners that can help out and get those carpets back up to pair.

If the grout in between tiles in the shower or other damp environment is not properly sealed, it can be porous. This can cause mold and mildew to grow and make it both unsightly and unhealthy to be around. The best situation is to have the grout properly sealed when it is applied and to reseal it periodically after a good cleaning. This will help prevent the growth of mold and mildew. You can get grout sealant at any home supply store.

To clean grout between tiles,  you can use a spray on tub and tile cleaner,  or you can use straight bleach. Either way, be sure to have good ventilation because it is dangerous to breathe the fumes. If you use a spray on, simply rinse the surface lightly then spray the product over the entire surface of the grout and the tiles. Allow it to sit for half an hour or so. Scrub the entire surface with a medium bristle scrub brush and rinse with hot water. Address any remaining spots with a small, stiff bristled brush and straight bleach.

If  you do not want to spray toxic chemicals over a large surface, you can paint straight bleach onto the grout only using a small paint brush. You still need to ventilate well, but the fumes won’t be as pervasive. Allow the bleach to sit for half an hour or so then rinse with hot water.

After rinsing, in either case, put a fan on the area and allow it to dry thoroughly. Inspect for areas of grout that need mending and repair them as needed. Seal the grout using any brand of grout sealant and a small artists paintbrush. Be sure to allow your work to dry thoroughly between each step.
