Getting Candle Wax And Stains Out Of Carpeting

I have been searching around for a while for different methods that will allow me to successfully pull the stain from candle wax out of my carpeting. We have a security deposit that we would like to be able to get back, so I have been willing to try just about anything that will not damage the carpeting further.

The more I looked I found that putting ice on the wax to get it as stiff as possible was the best way to pull off the bigger chunks that are sitting right on top of the fibers. This was the perfect way to get the majority of the pieces off. What was left were these little pieces. The next step surprised me as I was told to take a hair dryer and a rag or towel to melt the remainder. It actually worked!

You just take the rag or thin towel and place it over the area where the wax remnants are after you pull off the larger chunks. Heat the area with the blow dryer to melt the small wax bits and then press the towel or rag down. It transfers to the cloth and then I was able to proceed with cleaning the carpet as normal.
